Shanghai Station

                                                           
This is the railway eastern terminal of the world here Shanghai Station.Shanghai Station is one of the largest stations of the country.A large scale of passengers through it every day.It plays an important role in the national economic development,passengers transportation,and culture exchange in the world.

The yellow gilded  giant Chines characters "Shanghai Station" you can see on the top of high main building which is facing to the south ,with Lounge Room, Security Checking Entrance,Left Luggage Office etc. and two Exits and other ancessaries are on each side.The large  rolling electric screen that hangs up from the building showing  the following  contents-Train No,Departure Time,Terminal,Lounge,Remark.The train announcements are broadcasting again and again.Many logos that on the wall you can see-"No Hazardous Goods." "Waiting Area for Ticket." "No Entering of See-off Guest." "Have A Nice Trip".

The Ticket Office is in two places.One of it is on the east in the building.It sells short-distance ticket of MU by a machine called TVM.TVM is means a machine for sell ticket automatically.Some matching departments are on the each sides.Another building ,the Ticket Office is located in the South-east of the station whch is a  special building for vending ticket.Thousands of people are waiting there in line to get tickets.Its two floors that 1F & 2F both sell tickets  sending to every parts of the country for different days.Rooms in the station all are conditioned today.

In the front of the Station is a Plaza.The Station Plaza is very spacious.Near the southern part of the middle there"s a World Expo Clock with living TV sets both sides east and  west.The Expo symbol " Bettle city,better life" and a countdown table of the Expo on its south side.The clock on each sides that you can see.Two Public Toilets on the southeast corner and southwest corner.Of  course,you have to pay one yuan coin put into the slot,if you get into for relieve yourself.In the middle of the south is the Undergound Tunnel  leads to the station.And there is a underground shop there. Each sides of the Plaza both east and west are the Taxi Underground Passage.There"s a Information Desk in the center of the Plaza on the ground which it"ll provide passengers information and needles and threads and meditions for free. Police are driving a litter car patrolling around.Out of the station ,under the Plaza"s ground there"s a barriers-free passage available for disabilities specially.

The Tianmuxi Rd., an evenue is in the front of the Plaza,where there trollybus either.The Datong Rd. is on the east side of it which leads to the Tongji University"s North Campus.The Moling Rd. and the Henfeng Rd.around the station"s south and west sides closely.

Come out from the station,you can take bus,taxi,subway,trolleybus or walking and sightseeing along with the street.Everything"s convenient today and reaching your terminal soon.

Its position are the White Magnolia Plaza and  many higher buildings and skycrapers.There"s a underground passage on the northeast corner  of the station that leads to the South Palaza of the station.But it"s closed for its reconstruction.

Uncountless passengers in crowd come from different places come and go continously,including many foreigners."Better city,better life".Wish people will be here  just as the motto says, Expo 2010 Shanghai,China.
