Shanghai Museum

　
　Yesterday,Saturday,with great excitement I spent whole day to visit Shanghai Museum which is located in the centre of the city near the People"s Square,I was accompanied by my son.

After three stops of trip by subway,we soon arrived the spot.To my surprised,there were thousands of visitors earlier standing in a long line waiting there and was shipshap.Different individuals who came from near and far to see it.There were many foreigners-Americans,Europeans,Japanese and Africans.Of course of most of them were still Chinese.Among this situation,I had just a feeling where go abroad in China.Though the summer is almostly over,the temperatue here in Shanghai is still high.Everyone was soaked with wet,but we all didn"t care about that.We expected to inside as quickly as possible.The queque was moved quickly.As soon as closing the entrance we felt much cooler.

The museum was built in 1952.And now opening for free to the public.It is one of the largest museum famous for its collection of ancient Chinese art in the world.It has a capacity of reception about 5,000 people a day.It is 29.5 metres in height,covered 38,000 square metres and has more than 120,000 pieces of works of art in the collection with ancient Chinese bronze,ceramics and calligraphy and painting as its special feature.The building with two floors under the ground and five floors on the ground.And it is one of the largest museum famous for its collection of Ancient Chinese art in the world.It opens from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Shanghai Museum has three Exhibition Halls in total.Each Exhibition including several galleries.No1 Hall in F1 which mainly are Ancient Bronze Gallery and Ancient Sculpture Gallery.Various wares that made by bronze you can see here.Such as wine vessels,food vessels,water vessels,weapons(includes knives,swords,and axes),musical instruments etc.Best of all,a special ancient sword that used by Fuchai,the king of Wu was also in the show.The Sculpture Gallery mainly contains many kinds of buddhas.But the buddhas"sculpture you couldn"t find a complete piece by destroying of the Culture Revolution.

No2 Hall both inclues 2F and 3F.The second floor has Ancient Chinese Ceramics Gallery,Tea Room and a multimedia studio.It shows different kinds of ancient Chinese porcelain thoughout 8,000 years.Of course,including three precious pieces of Ru ci that made by Song dynasty which was unnearthed from Baofen county,Henan in 1985.Because of time,we didn"t visit the Tea Room.There is an ancient kiln where that shows the procedue of chinaware"s producing.And a film"s introducing the course that how to make porcelain.The Ancient Chinese Painting Gallery,Calligraphy Gallery and Seal Galery all are in the third floor.Diversity of famous works of painting and calligraphy made me kind of dizzling.Sharing this Chinese culture will must have promoted your quality of civilization!The chance you cannot miss.The rare masterpieces of calligraphy that writing-handed by Wang Xizhi and his son Wang Xianzhi personly are in cluded in the galleries.Especially,we"ve seen all kinds of styles of Chinese character there-Oracle inscription,Bronze inscription,Tablet inscription,Seal script,Official script,Regular script and Cursive script.We deeply felt the atmosphere of Chinese culture and Chinese intelligence and Chinese power of creation and really had a wonderful time.

The four floor involves Chinese Minority Nationalities" Art Gallery,Ancient Chinese Jade Gallery,Chinese Coin Gallery and Room of Ancient Central Asian Coins on the Silk Road.Sorts of old money makes me cannot see carefully.There are some famous and dear Ancient Chinese furnitue which made by rare real wood that shown there yet.Including of beds,tables,even the throne chairs of king.Unfortunately,for some reason we couldn"t visit the Minority Gallery.

Along with the crowd we had to leave the museum at about 4:00pm,because we were hungry.To be inside a restaurant called Brazil Barbeque(B.B.Q) where people was just finished lunch service,but dinner was not start.At last we had to have luch at a Japanese restaurant which named Qiankou Hand-pulled Noodles House with big wood spoon,pottery bolws and chopsticks.The food"s yummy.

This is the Shanghai Museum that I have never seen.And I"m glad to share with you here.I have more feeling than I can say.Hope you come and see it before the Shanghai Expo next year.Shanghai is just like the Big Apple in the US.
