My favourite movie

Yesterday night I watched the movie <Waterloo Bridge>once again. I remember that I watched it one year before, however, I would like to watch it so much, because it is the most unforgettable movie for me. I was really touched by it, I was deeply moved by their love spirit, they loved each other from the bottom of their hearts.

 

I think most people must be familiar with that moive, It was happened in the First World War, the role of the actor was a soldier whose name was Roy, the role of the actress was a ballet dancer whose name was Myra, who was an orphan. Their first meeting place was Waterloo Bridge, they fell in love with each other at the first sight. Because of the First World War, Roy decided to marry Myra before he went to the front line. But all things changed what they expected. Roy received the news of moving towards the front line in a hurry, he even didn’t have  time to say goodbye to Myra.

 

After that, Myra has been longed for the day that she could see Roy returning from the front line until a news came from a piece of newspaper, in which there were the death of soldiers’ name. She found the  name of her beloved lover---Roy, she was really frustrated by it, she had no hopes any more at that moment. Meanwhile, it was so difficult for her to find a job due to the First World War. In order to survive in such a realistic world, she had no choice but to be a prostitute.

 

However, fate was always playing a joke on Myra. As a matter of fact, Roy didn’t die, luckily, he was still alive, one day they met at Waterloo Bridge Station accidentally. For myra, she was so happy to know her beloved lover was still alive, she was so surprised  that she didn’t believe her eyes. On one  hand, she was so regretful for herself, she knew clearly that she didn"t match with Roy any longer. On the other hand, she loved Roy so much. Her inner feelings was really complicated and complex. For Roy, of course he never changed his love towards Myra, he still loved Myra deeply so that he insisted on marrying Myra in no time. However, the poor guy didn’t know what had happened to Myra.

 

Myra spent a short period of happy life with Roy . finally, the poor girl lost her life in order to prove her pure love towards her lover---Roy. She chose the place where they met at the first time to suicide. As a result, Roy kept single all the time after Myra left the world and their happy days was always in his mind, never fade away.it was a romance tragedy indeed.

 

From this movie, we know their love was so pure, so lofty , so unselfish……to prove her pure love, she even would like to die. Nowadays, many people in order to go in for material comforts, they would do anything to deceive love.

 

In addition, I like the actor and the actress very much, they performed so well, especially the actress. The theme song----auld lang syne is very famous in the world, that’s also my favorite song. I believe that’s all the reasons of getting academy award of the moive.
